Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager
We’re partnered with a fast-growing technology services provider looking to add a Business Development Manager to their UK sales team. This role is focused on winning new business in the Public Sector, with a particular emphasis on cyber security, networking, and managed services.
This is an exciting chance to join a company that combines cyber security expertise, managed IT services, cloud solutions, networking, and AI-driven offerings into a cutting-edge portfolio. You’ll be helping shape their growth across Public Sector clients while playing a visible role in their expansion plans.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be focused on generating new logo wins across the Public Sector. This isn’t an account management role - success here comes from building relationships, opening doors, and driving growth in a competitive space.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, and you’ll have the autonomy to shape how you approach Public Sector opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving new business sales into Public Sector organisations, including local authorities and housing associations
- Selling a wide range of solutions: cyber security, managed IT services, cloud, networking, and AI-driven offerings
- Leading client engagement through a consultative sales approach, developing technical requirements and building solutions with internal experts
- Managing pipeline and reporting through CRM systems
- Representing the business at industry events, networking groups, and Public Sector forums
- Preparing and delivering tailored sales presentations, including detailed 30/60/90-day plans
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in technical sales (ideally 5+ years) with a focus on new business development
- Track record of success in Public Sector sales - experience with tender processes and government frameworks is highly desirable
- Consultative selling style, able to translate complex services into clear client value propositions
- High-level understanding of networking and cyber security solutions
- Experience working for an MSP, Systems Integrator, or technology reseller is beneficial
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with resilience and drive to win new logos
Why Join?
- Opportunity to join a high-growth, next-generation IT services provider
- Exposure to a broad portfolio including cyber security, AI, cloud, and managed services
- A role where your impact will be immediate, visible, and career-defining
This is an opportunity to break into a high-growth company where your impact will be immediate and visible. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team introducing innovative services to a market in real demand.
