This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, leading technical projects, and continuously developing their technical expertise.

About the Role

As a Product Consultant, you will act as the technical lead across a variety of customer-facing assignments—from pre-sales demonstrations and proof-of-concept work to solution design, implementation, and ongoing support. You’ll play a key part in shaping and enhancing cutting-edge AI-enabled IT asset management and cloud cost optimisation products, while helping customers get maximum value from their investments.

You’ll be supported by a comprehensive learning and development programme designed to help you become a subject-matter expert across the full product suite, as well as contribute directly to the evolution of future product strategy.

  • Provide Microsoft Licensing expertise, including ELPs and SAM Maturity Assessments (while not a dedicated SAM consultant role, solid licensing knowledge is essential).

  • Advise customers on deployment requirements and best practices.

  • Manage multiple customer assignments simultaneously, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.

  • Identify risks or issues and escalate appropriately to ensure timely resolution.

  • Develop deep product expertise and support the creation of best practices, documentation, knowledge base content, testing activities and continuous improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical Support or Technical Engineer role.

  • Experience working within enterprise-level environments.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to lead customer discussions and deliver presentations.

  • Proven experience delivering product demos and PoCs.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into meaningful business value.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proactive, accountable, and comfortable owning deliverables.

  • Excellent problem-solving and consultative approach.

  • Solid understanding of complex IT infrastructures.

  • Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI) and cloud cost management/FinOps practices.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Licensing (M365, ELPs, SAM maturity assessments).

  • Good understanding of IT security principles.

  • Knowledge of server architecture, virtualisation technologies, and AI tools/techniques.

  • Basic understanding of networking devices and principles.

  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory (Group Policies, OUs) and SQL Management Studio.

Desirable Skills

  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash or Python).

  • Experience working within a software development environment.

  • Background in software delivery or project-based services across multiple clients.

  • Experience deploying or supporting ITAM, SAM or FinOps solutions.

  • Awareness of Apple Mac, Linux and Unix operating systems.
