Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an escalation point for 1st Line, resolving advanced technical incidents
  • Deliver remote and on-site support across users, infrastructure, and cloud platforms
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software at client sites
  • Monitor alerts, patching, and proactively prevent service disruptions
  • Troubleshoot across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualisation
  • Work with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and support project deployments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the Knowledge Base
  • Mentor 1st Line colleagues and manage workload across service desk and site visits

About You

  • 2+ years' experience in a 2nd Line or Field Engineer role (MSP experience ideal)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (MFA, SSO, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra)
  • Experience with Azure/AWS/Google Cloud and virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V/VMware)
  • Solid networking skills (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN/WLAN)
  • Confident supporting hardware, printers, and mobile devices
  • Clear communicator with a calm, ownership-driven approach
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
  • Working towards or keen to achieve relevant Microsoft certifications
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel (occasional overnight stays)
