ServiceNow Developer / Platform Lead Location: North London Salary: Up to £65k (DOE) Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Overview An IT department within a large, multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to take ownership of its ServiceNow platform and lead development, automation, and optimisation.

This is a hands-on technical role with strategic influence, focused on modernising IT service delivery and digitising business processes using ServiceNow and JavaScript-driven customisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for the ServiceNow platform

  • Design, build, and maintain workflows, automations, and service catalogue items

  • Develop and customise ServiceNow using JavaScript (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies)

  • Own platform administration including upgrades, security, performance, and technical debt

  • Build and maintain REST API integrations with systems such as Entra ID and HR platforms

  • Deliver joiner, mover, and leaver automation and cross-system data flows

  • Translate IT and business requirements into scalable technical solutions

  • Produce clear technical documentation and development standards

  • Work closely with Information Security to ensure platform security and compliance
