3rd Line Systems Engineer

About the Role: I am looking for an experienced 3rd Line Systems Engineer to join a high-performing ICT team. This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll act as the escalation point for complex issues, ensure system stability, and contribute to strategic projects that shape the future of digital services.What you'll be doing:

• Provide third-line support for Microsoft-based infrastructure, servers, laptops, and business systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents, performing root-cause analysis and documenting fixes.
• Deliver enterprise improvements and project work (approx. 40% of workload), including:
  • Public Wi-Fi rollout
  • Cybersecurity enhancements
  • CCTV head-end replacement
  • Imaging and mobile device improvements
• Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 6 weeks) once fully embedded.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to stakeholders and produce high-quality documentation.

What I'm looking for:

• Strong experience in Microsoft infrastructure (servers, AD, O365) and VMware (VXRail experience desirable).
• Networking fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, DNS) – not expert level, but comfortable collaborating with network teams.
• Proven ability to manage escalations and deliver technical projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment (typically 3 days onsite after onboarding).
