IT Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, proactive and highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established organisation within their Infrastructure & Resilience function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, improving stability and continuity across business-critical systems, and working across a broad Microsoft-focused technology estate.Key Responsibilities:

• Core Infrastructure Services (Microsoft ecosystem)
• Identity & Access Management (Entra ID / Azure AD)
• Virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V / enterprise virtualisation technologies)
• Cloud Platform administration (Microsoft Azure)
• Business Continuity & Resilience practices across systems and applications

What I'm Looking For:

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a corporate IT environment and demonstrable, hands-on experience across:

• Microsoft Server, Microsoft 365
• Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
• Azure cloud administration
• Linux (advantageous)
• Enterprise virtualisation technologies
• Server hardware, SAN/NAS storage
• TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Scripting/programming concepts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)

Desirable Experience:

• Exposure to formal project frameworks (e.g., Agile, Prince2)
• Understanding of ITIL and service management practices
• Proven ability to troubleshoot multi-layered technical issues
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
