HR Systems Analyst – Permanent – based in Northampton, NN4

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Finance HR Systems Analyst. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering HRIS systems throughout the employee lifecycle. You will ensure data integrity, support payroll processes, and act as a HR systems specialist on projects, providing expert guidance and tier 2 escalation support for the wider HR Shared Services team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain HR systems, including user setup, hierarchy changes, and access management.
  • Act as a tier 2 escalation point to resolve user issues and support the change request review process.
  • Provide HR data and systems expertise for projects involving new or upgraded HR systems.
  • Design tools and processes, and provide data insights for HR leadership initiatives such as annual salary reviews, bonus payments, and time and attendance reconciliation.
  • Collaborate closely with payroll and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely pay period closure.
  • Recommend and implement system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and the end-user experience.
  • Create and maintain HR system guides, knowledge cards, and testing documentation.
  • Communicate important system updates and events to the wider business.

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex analyses clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality customer service and supporting colleagues.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with an interest in system development and continuous improvement.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as an HR systems “super user” or HR analyst with responsibility for system administration.
  • Experience conducting user testing and working with multiple data sources.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge or experience with system integrations or interface processes is desirable.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and understanding of payroll processes.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday – Friday

Work Location:

  • Northampton office (3 days in person / 2 days WFH)
