Finance Manager

Role type: Permanent

Location: City of London (hybrid working - 6 days per month in the office)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting and financial planning processes to optimise resource allocation.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide insightful analysis to guide decision-making and enhance profitability.
  • Finance reports, preparation of monthly Management accounts
  • Balance sheet
  • Project Accounts, Support accounts and Staff Utilisation
  • AP and credit control, Aged Payables and receivables
  • SOW/PO Page management
  • Cashflow management, Banking, Payment and payroll
  • VAT Returns including Corporation Tax, R&D tax, Tax Clearance certificates
  • Year end accounting
  • P11d and PSA
  • New client set up and supplier set up

Experience Needed:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, currently working towards, or qualified by experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, or equivalent (qualified by experience)
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial controller or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Credit control, and purchase ledger processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Xero Sage and Excel
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strategic mindset.
  • Experience with financial modelling and data analysis tools.
