Service Engineer - Luxury Residential Technology (Permanent)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: Central London

Working Arrangement: Onsite, Monday–Friday (09:00–17:00)

On-Call: Minimum 1 week per month (overtime payable)

We are partnering with a well-established, highly regarded technology consultancy operating within the luxury residential and boutique hospitality sector. They design and support advanced home automation, smart-environment systems and integrated AV solutions for premium properties.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join their specialist service team.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, you will deliver high-quality technical support, both onsite and remotely, across a wide range of smart-home and integrated technology systems.

You will take full ownership of service tickets from initial report through to resolution - working closely with clients, internal specialists and project teams to ensure issues are identified, resolved and communicated professionally.

You will also contribute to system upgrade projects, occasionally acting as the lead engineer on smaller packages of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of service tickets, ensuring accurate updates and timely resolution
  • Attend client call-outs, troubleshoot issues and escalate when required
  • Deliver on system upgrades and enhancement work packages
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients throughout
  • Support weekly ticket reviews and monthly service performance reviews
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota (minimum 1 week per month)
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, protecting the company's reputation
  • Represent the service team professionally when onsite with high-end clients

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Proven experience working with residential smart home automation, AV systems or home-technology environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
  • Experience managing service tickets or projects is advantageous
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Confident, polished and professional client-facing manner
  • Ability to prioritise, adapt quickly and handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
