About the Opportunity
We're supporting one of the UK's leading National Security and Defence delivery partners through a significant period of growth as they've successfully delivered every project they've committed to, built exceptional customer trust, and are now expanding rapidly to meet rising demand across new and existing programmes.
They're now looking to onboard a new wave of Cloud, Platform, and DevOps Engineers ahead of large-scale projects due to start in early 2026.
This is a chance to join a high-performing engineering function that's delivering genuinely impactful work from R&D and low-TRL experimentation through to deploying live operational systems across mission-critical environments.
You'll be joining a trusted delivery team that's making serious waves in the community, known for doing things properly, on time, and with real technical depth.
The Role
As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be working within secure project teams to design, build, and operate modern cloud environments, ensuring platforms are robust, secure, and scalable.
You'll play a key role in delivering cloud transformation and platform automation projects for public sector and defence customers using cutting-edge tech across AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and beyond.
Typical responsibilities include:
• Building and managing secure cloud environments (AWS / Azure)
• Implementing IaC and automation using Terraform / Ansible
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps integration
• Working closely with mission and delivery teams to deploy and maintain operational systems
• Troubleshooting and optimising systems for performance and security
• Engaging in R&D and low-TRL experimentation projects as part of early design teams
What We're Looking For
• Active UK*C or eDV clearance
• Strong background in Cloud, Platform, or DevOps engineering
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• Understanding of secure systems engineering and compliance in classified environments
• Collaborative, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
