The Role

We're looking for a Cloud Operations Team Leader to manage and optimise our cloud infrastructure and lead a skilled engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing strategic planning with technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Cloud Engineers.

  • Oversee day-to-day cloud operations: monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and optimisation.

  • Implement and improve Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.

  • Support development teams through CI/CD pipelines.

  • Drive cloud security, governance, compliance, and cost optimisation (FinOps).

  • Plan and deliver projects using Agile methodologies.

  • Explore AI-driven approaches to infrastructure automation.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS.

  • Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

  • Proven leadership or team management experience in a technical environment.

  • Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

  • Knowledge of cloud cost management and performance monitoring.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
