Bristol area (office-based) Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £24,000

About the Company

We're working with a well-established UK software company that builds specialist infrastructure and asset management solutions for clients in the UK and internationally. They're known for a friendly, supportive culture, a casual dress code, and a strong focus on developing their people.

With nearly 20 years in the industry, the business has continued to grow while maintaining a close-knit, approachable team environment. Collaboration, communication, and customer focus sit at the heart of how they work, and new team members are supported from day one.

The Role

They are looking for a Junior IT Technician to join their internal IT team and help keep the business running smoothly day to day. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on exposure to a wide range of technologies in a supportive, low-ego environment.

Reporting into the IT Manager, you'll work alongside experienced IT colleagues while also being trusted to manage tasks independently. The role is varied and will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, learning on the job, and taking pride in doing things properly.

A structured probation period is in place, with monthly one-to-one check-ins to support development, identify training needs, and help you reach full competency within your first six months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing internal IT support to staff across the business
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and user issues
  • Assisting with the setup, maintenance, and improvement of internal IT systems
  • Creating and maintaining clear IT documentation where required
  • Keeping up to date with new technologies and suggesting improvements

What They're Looking For

  • A genuine interest in IT and technology
  • A friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
  • Someone who enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn, take ownership, and develop their skills

Benefits

  • Annual pay review and discretionary bonus
  • Holiday entitlement increasing with length of service
  • Pension scheme
  • After successful completion of probation:
    • Private medical cover
    • Life assurance (4x annual salary)
    • Income protection
