What You Will Do We are seeking a highly analytical and technically savvy Senior Business Analyst to join our Credit Research Technology team. You will be embedded within a dynamic group focused on building innovative research and investment tools used by credit analysts and portfolio managers. Working closely with product owners, developers, and investment professionals, you will play a pivotal role in shaping solutions that drive smarter investment decisions across our fixed income portfolios. What You Can Expect
- Lead the definition and delivery of business and system requirements to support credit research, model-driven analysis, and portfolio management tools.
- Serve as a key liaison between credit analysts, portfolio managers, and technology teams to ensure business needs are translated into scalable, high-performance technical solutions.
- Drive end-to-end documentation and stakeholder alignment across delivery cycles.
- Help shape the data strategy for credit research by integrating credit model data, issuer fundamentals, ESG inputs, and alternative datasets into the research ecosystem.
- Influence the firm’s digital transformation initiatives through delivery excellence and thought leadership
- Provide day-to-day support for credit research and portfolio management teams in their use of internal tools and platforms.
- 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis at a buy-side Fixed Income asset management firm.
- Deep understanding of credit research workflows, with proven experience working alongside credit analysts and portfolio managers.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and investment processes.
- Proficiency in:
- SQL – for data validation and exploration.
- AWS – particularly data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda).
- Python – for prototyping analytical tools and performing data analysis.
- Strong command of business analysis practices, including:
- Use case and workflow documentation
- Data mapping and transformation
- Acceptance criteria and test planning
- Excellent communication skills – capable of clearly translating technical issues into business context and vice versa.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- CFA Certification or progress toward completion.
- Familiarity with third-party credit platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to machine learning or AI frameworks in financial modeling is a plus.
