Project Manager

You must be a UK national due to the nature of the contracts, to allow for Government security vetting (UKSV) if not already obtained.

Are you a Project Manager with a passion for delivering software projects? An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client to join their existing delivery team. You role will be to help deliver their products and contribute to projects that play a critical role in ensuring national security and strategic advancements.

This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about projects, eager to further their learning, and excited to contribute to the success of varied and interesting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Conduct regular project meetings to track progress and resolve any issues.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience as a Project Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, processes, and artifacts.
• Proficiency in project management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to prioritise task whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• AgilePM & APM PMQ.
• An awareness of the Defence sector.
• An understanding of software development.
• Experience of bid management.
• Financial controls.
