Audio Visual Technician
AV Technician — up to £40,000
Location: London (with occasional UK travel)
Contract: Full-time | Shift Pattern | On-site
We're looking for a hands-on AV Technician to deliver reliable, high-quality support across meeting rooms, conferences, and live events. You'll be the go-to person on site for anything audio-visual — making sure every meeting, webinar, and hybrid session runs smoothly.
This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, staying calm under pressure, and working closely with users at all levels.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as the primary AV support technician on site
- Preparing rooms, testing systems, and supporting users before and during meetings
- Setting up and operating AV equipment (displays, microphones, speakers, control panels, VC systems)
- Supporting MS Teams, Zoom, Webex and hybrid meeting setups
- Troubleshooting issues quickly and providing preventative maintenance
- Supporting live and recorded events, including streaming and post-event media management
- Working with IT and Facilities on multi-site events and system rollouts
- Helping create training materials and best-practice guides
- Completing daily "ready for business" checks
- Assisting with meeting room layouts and furniture setups
What we're looking for
- Experience in an AV Technician or similar role (corporate/professional services ideal)
- Strong knowledge of AV systems and video-conferencing platforms
- Familiarity with control systems such as Crestron or Extron
- Confident communicator, comfortable supporting users at all levels
- Calm, proactive and solutions-focused
- Willing to work a rotating shift pattern, with occasional out-of-hours support and travel
Working pattern
- On-site in London, 5 days per week
- Rotating shifts typically between 7:00am and 7:00pm
- Occasional evening work to support events
- Occasional UK travel as required
