About the Role

We are looking for a suitable candidate to undertake a 24-month Graduate Programme as a Developer. The programme will offer talented Digital Graduates a development journey which will be fully immersive via facilitated sessions provided on a monthly basis for wider Police Scotland experiences to consolidate learning, help develop a sense of belonging and further develop business acumen.

You will integrate within an existing team and be fully supported throughout the programme with an allocated Mentor, Buddy, Manager and Graduate Programme SPOCs. You will complete a Graduate Portfolio that will capture your personal development plan and objective setting and will be used as a tool for reflection to celebrate progress and success.

Currently Police Scotland have guidance in place that allows appropriate roles to be operated on a hybrid basis.

Applicants should have a strong interest in Cyber Security and a desire to develop their skills through a structured graduate programme.

You will require Management Vetting. You will work 35 working hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm. A flexi time policy is in operation.

Qualifications

  • Essential Degree in Computer Science related discipline OR Degree in Software Engineering related discipline.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills, customer focused.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a team.
  • Proven skills related to: Team-working and working on your own initiative.

Preferred Skills

  • Experienced in working with in-house built enterprise systems which are spread across a multi-site physical and operational.

Pay range and compensation package

Grade 4

Salary £33,446

35 working hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm. A flexi time policy is in operation. xkybehq
