Visual Designer (Contract)

Location: Edinburgh – (2 days per week, Wednesday & Thursday) - MUST be located in or around Scotland, any other profiles will be dismissed.

Rate: £600 per day

Duration: 6 months (potential extension)

We’re looking for a highly experienced Visual Designer to join a newly formed design team within a major financial services organisation. This is a key role with real influence, focused on raising the bar for visual design across high-impact digital products.

You’ll be working within the card servicing space, owning journeys across well-known mobile banking apps and contributing to the integration of a recently acquired fintech digital wallet. This is a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines and strong visibility across the business.

What you’ll be working on:

• Owning the card servicing journey across mobile apps (e.g. card details, limits, digital wallets)
• Designing experiences for features such as lost & stolen cards, spending limits, grocery and gambling controls
• Helping define and elevate visual design standards across multiple products
• Supporting the integration of a fintech digital wallet into an established banking brand
• Working closely with content and research designers within a growing team

What we’re looking for:

• Strong proven experiences as a Visual Designer, ideally working on digital products
• Experience delivering within medium to large organisations
• Strong background working with professional, brand-led environments
• Evidence of brand diversity across your portfolio
• Proven experience designing within a product environment (not just campaigns or marketing)
• High attention to detail and ability to work at pace
