Our client, a leading player in the utilities sector, is on the lookout for a dynamic 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team for a temporary contract of 6 months. Role: 3rd Line Support Engineer
Duration: 6 Months (extension options)
Location: Plymouth (Fully Remote)
Rate: £500 per day (umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the User Operations team, Service Desk, and Field User team to resolve escalated and complex technical issues.
- Assist in large-scale projects that significantly impact both customers and staff.
- Work hand-in-hand with IT and Business departments to ensure that products and applications are fit for purpose.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of systems and related business procedures.
- Design training materials and deliver training to customers and staff, promoting best practices for technical products and applications.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements, including fire and emergency precautions.
What You'll Bring:
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Experience configuring Web Proxy and Web Filtering systems (Netskope experience is a plus!).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Web Proxy policies with relevant debugging tools.
- A track record of contributing to 3rd line service requests and incident resolution.
Desirable Skills:
While not essential, the following experience will give you an edge:
- Proven ability to tackle difficult technical problems in a professional office environment.
- Familiarity with endpoint management technologies such as SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, and MDT.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/VLAN/WAN).
- Programming skills in PowerShell, Batch, or VBScript.
