Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Data & AI to lead the definition and delivery of our enterprise-wide data and artificial intelligence capability. This is a senior leadership role responsible for setting direction, driving innovation, embedding data and AI-led decision-making across the organisation.

You will lead a high-performing team, oversee modern data platforms and architecture, and ensure AI solutions are delivered ethically, securely, and at scale. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will translate business priorities into actionable data and AI strategies that deliver measurable value.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience defining and delivering enterprise data and AI strategies and roadmaps aligned to business objectives

  • Demonstrated leadership of data and AI teams (10–15 people), with the ability to build high-performing, collaborative cultures

  • Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics, including Machine Learning and Generative AI / LLMs

  • Experience taking AI solutions from proof-of-concept to production-scale deployment

  • Deep knowledge of Business Intelligence, reporting, and analytics to enable data-driven decision-making

  • Strong understanding of data governance, stewardship frameworks, and operating models

  • Hands-on experience with data engineering and large-scale processing, including ETL/ELT, Python, and Spark

  • Proven experience designing and operating modern cloud data platforms on Azure, including Fabric and Databricks

  • Ability to design and govern secure, scalable, and resilient data architecture and pipelines

  • Experience developing self-service data and AI communities across business and technical teams

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive organisational change through data and AI

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments (SCRUM and/or Kanban)
