Contract Role: Full-Stack Developer (Python & React) – EdTech Start-Up (Outside IR35)

We're looking for a Full-Stack Developer with 4–5 years' commercial experience to join an exciting EdTech start-up through a consultancy engagement. This is a hands-on build role where you'll work closely with Head of Tech helping to drive key product features while keeping exposure to the end client limited.

The Role

This is a true full-stack position with work across both the Python backend and React frontend:

- Initial focus on backend: building out core Python services, APIs, and platform logic.

- Shifting to frontend: developing the React web application

- Contributing to architecture, best practices, and high-quality, maintainable code.

- Working within a fast-paced start-up environment where autonomy is key.

About You

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running:

- 4–5 years' experience as a full-stack experience

- Solid Python backend experience.

- Strong React skills for web application development.

-You've shipped real products.

- Start-up experience strongly preferred; you're comfortable working at speed.

- Finance/fintech background is a bonus but not essential.

- Proactive, independent, and comfortable working directly with a Head of Tech.
