The RoleAs Group Accountant, you will play a key role in statutory reporting, IFRS technical accounting, tax, and treasury activities across the Group. You will act as the technical accounting expert, working closely with senior finance leadership and the management accounting team, taking ownership of key processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Financial AccountingYou will lead the annual and half-year reporting processes, prepare consolidated IFRS statutory accounts and disclosures, and act as the main point of contact for external auditors. You will prepare technical accounting papers for the Audit Committee, maintain Group accounting policies and the Finance Manual, support the internal control framework, prepare UK statutory accounts, and oversee share-based payment accounting including budgeting and forecasting.
Support of Outsourced Tax ProvidersYou will support current and deferred tax accounting across the Group, prepare tax packs for external advisers, assist with corporation tax computations, and support the Group transfer pricing policy.
TreasuryYou will maintain hedge documentation, monitor foreign exchange impacts on Group reporting, and provide recommendations on treasury and FX risk management.
Stakeholder ManagementYou will work closely with senior finance leaders, regional finance teams, and external advisers, communicating technical accounting matters clearly to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
About YouYou will be ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally with an audit background, with strong IFRS knowledge and experience in a multinational or listed environment. Experience in multi-currency group consolidation is required. Strong Excel skills are essential, with NetSuite or Microsoft BI experience beneficial. You will be proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working to deadlines.
