Finance Data Business Analyst - Senior Consultant/Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance-specialised Data Business Analyst to support FP&A transformation and finance data projects. This role combines financial reporting understanding with strong business analysis skills to deliver accurate, insightful data solutions across the Finance / FP&A function.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with FP&A teams to document business/data requirements (functional & non-functional); map "as-is" and "to-be" processes, ensuring traceability.

• Engage with business stakeholders to validate data sources, processes, and requirements.

• Own the analysis of work packages, ensuring clarity of scope and deliverables.

• Act as the liaison between finance teams, data engineers, and technology teams.

• Conduct GAP analysis between current state Data Lake & desired future state

• Coordinate UAT & ensure compliance with FP&A controls.

• Manage expectations and provide regular updates on progress and risks.

• Support creation and maintenance of metadata, lineage, and data catalogues.

• Support dashboard/report delivery using Power BI & Qlik.

• Develop test plans with well-defined Acceptance Criteria & coordinate user acceptance testing for finance data solutions.

• Validate data accuracy and reporting outputs against business requirements.

• Run testing of data pipelines and structures built into the data lake.

• Establish and maintain data dictionary and key artefacts; ensuring control and quality.

Skills & Experience

• Proven BA experience on finance data projects; familiarity with data governance and quality frameworks.

• Experience in financial planning systems and reporting automation.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern BI tools.

• Senior Consultant/Manager-level experience.
