Location: Leatherhead (Hybrid)
Our client is a modern cloud consultancy and managed services provider, who guides enterprises across most industry sectors through digital transformation projects deploying advanced IT solutions.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor will ensure that managers receive timely, expert guidance that supports fair, consistent and legally compliant people decisions. They will help resolve employee relations issues early and effectively, reducing risk, minimising disruption and fostering a healthy workplace environment. By ensuring our clients people have access to relevant development opportunities, the role contributes to improved capability, performance and internal mobility. The HR Advisor works alongside us recruitment partners to facilitate seamless, efficient recruitment/onboarding processes, resulting in high-quality hires and a positive candidate experience. Throughout, they provide strong support to the Head of HR, enabling strategic initiatives to progress while operational matters are handled with autonomy and competence.
What will the successful Candidate be like:
The successfully candidate will ideally have 3 years in a similar role. They should be a confident to work autonomously whilst also being very much a team player.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes, up-to-date employment law and HR best practice

- IT literate and experience of working with an HR information system
Key Responsibilities and Core Objectives:
- Supporting line managers with writing recruitment documents, advertising roles and liaising with recruitment partners
- Preparation and issue of employment offers and contracts
- Oversees pre-employment screening and onboarding
- Management of probation, annual appraisal cycles and 6-monthly salary review cycles
- Administration of the full employee lifecycle
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- To provide expert day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and our people on a wide range of HR issues
- Supporting managers in handling complex casework for employee relation matters – maintaining accurate records and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions
- Timely and accurate updating and administration of HRIS – full involvement in initial set-up of HRIS
- Effective communication and active promotion of company culture and values in daily HR interactions
- Supporting delivery of engagement initiatives
- Supporting the coordination and delivery of training programmes, liaising with managers as required
- Preparation of HR reports/metrics
- Assisting the Head of HR with projects
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: CIPD – level 5 – minimum of 3 years hands-on operational HR experience
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar, fast-paced HR role is required, with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
- Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building effective relationships at all levels of the company. Confidence to challenge, where appropriate to do so. Effective influencing skills
- IT: Previous experience of working with HR information system
