Job Title: Automation (RPA) Developer
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Contract: 6 months initially
Rate: £415.16 per day (Umbrella)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Automation (RPA) Developer to join a dynamic development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting RPA workflows and solutions, ensuring seamless automation of business processes. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to work on both new automation projects and ongoing support of existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy complex RPA processes using UiPath, including unattended robots.
- Build and maintain Solution Design Documents (SDDs) with detailed process flows and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure automation solutions meet requirements.
- Develop peripheral functions using C#.NET, SQL Server, and Oracle to support RPA processes (eg, reporting, data reconciliation).
- Conduct RPA testing, UAT support, and production monitoring/troubleshooting.
- Assist with code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of RPA solutions.
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation throughout the project life cycle.
- Occasionally work on C# development tasks to maintain seamless integration with other systems.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with UiPath (Studio, Orchestrator, Cloud & Standalone setups) and developing at least 20 RPA processes.
- Hands-on experience in C# .NET and SQL development for automation purposes.
- Experience with Windows application development, Citrix automation, and REFramework.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and SQL Scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and provide production support when required.
Desirable:
- Financial services or banking experience.
- WPF or API automation experience.
- Knowledge of Agile/DevOps practices, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with generative AI in RPA solutions.
