Change Manager
A public service broadcaster is seeking an experienced Change Manager to join their team and play a pivotal role in delivering transformational change across large-scale programmes and projects. You will work closely with a Lead Change Manager on major programmes or independently on significant projects, ensuring organisational readiness and sustainable business benefits through effective change management strategies.
This is an initial 6-month contract with a daily rate up to £450 per day via an Umbrella company (inside IR35), the role is based in Central London and offers hybrid working (2 days per week in the office with 3 working from home)
Previous experience of IT projects and impact assessment is desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with programme teams to define a compelling vision and clearly articulated benefits.
- Engage stakeholders to assess change impacts and business readiness.
- Design and plan change management interventions to embed change successfully.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, communications, and advocacy initiatives.
- Develop and implement plans including change management, engagement, communications, benefits, and training.
- Support implementation by preparing the business for change, addressing resistance, and enabling adoption.
- Facilitate handover to Business as Usual (BAU), monitor adoption, and measure change effectiveness.
- Conduct lessons learned reviews and celebrate success.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Change Management Institute ACMF, MSP Practitioner, APMG Change Management, Prosci ADKAR).
- Proven experience managing and implementing change within transformational programmes.
- Strong understanding of change management principles and benefits realisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage complexity, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong project management, planning, and risk management capabilities.
Desirable:
- Experience contributing to multiple large-scale change programmes (£5m+ budgets).
- Knowledge of TUPE and employment-related change processes.
