About the Role

We are supporting a leading Public Sector organisation in South Wales seeking an experienced Interim IT Category Manager with a strong background in IT Procurement. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver real value, streamline procurement processes, and make a tangible impact across estates and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead competitive, flexible procurement procedures for medium to high-value contracts.
• Develop and implement a catering strategy as well as operating on BAU tasks:
  • Consolidate suppliers.
  • Drive efficiency.
  • Enhance stakeholder experience.
• Ensure compliance with Public Sector procurement regulations and best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to deliver cost-effective and innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Category Management within IT Procurement.
• Strong knowledge of Public Sector procurement processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
