Project Support Officer
We are seeking a skilled Project Support Officer (PSO) to work on several IT projects within the IT Pillar under the direction of the Programme/Portfolio Lead. This role involves supporting a complex portfolio of work, requiring the ability to interpret and communicate technical information effectively to clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed reports for governance Boards and maintain relevant documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage risks and issues, collating reports and supporting the development of mitigation plans.
- Provide governance support, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices as defined by the PMO.
- Maintain finance and budget plans, overseeing purchase order generation and tracking.
- Ensure continuity across projects by managing resourcing plans and relevant vetting processes.
- Facilitate local and national meetings, managing logistics and video conferencing tools as necessary.
- Support change control processes by completing documentation and conducting impact assessments.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in programme support for technology projects within complex stakeholder environments.
- Familiarity with Portfolio Delivery Offices and/or Programme Management Offices.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Experience with secure technology-based projects and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Proficient in implementing document management systems and managing sensitive information.
- Experience in both Agile and waterfall project methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
