Stock Data Analyst

My market leading St. Helens based client are the UK’s largest independent manufacturer within their field, they are experiencing year on year growth, making now a very exciting time to join this hugely successful business.

Role: Stock Data AnalystLocation: St HelensSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 dependent upon experience.Hours: 100% office based, you will be required to work from 09:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week) 

Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? We are seeking an experienced Stock Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role blends hands-on inventory management with data analysis, to support smart decision-making across our supply chain.

Duties of the role:

• Monitoring and maintaining optimal stock levels across three sites.
• Conducting regular stock audits and producing variance analysis and reports
• Using Excel functions to analyse stock trends, forecast demand, and support production planning.
• Collaborating with suppliers, warehouse teams, and planning managers to ensure accurate and timely stock data flow across the supply chain.
• Maintaining and improving stock databases and reporting tools
• Work closely with the Stock Manager on project-based analysis and resolution of stock-related issues.

Person Specification:

• Experience in stock analysis, inventory control, or supply chain analytics
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query, report automation etc.)
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Exposure to Power BI or other data visualisation tools advantageous but no essential
