IT Support Engineer

A leading international education provider is seeking a hands-on IT Technician to support a busy London campus environment. This is a varied, people-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy, and being embedded in a fast-moving organisation.

The role

You'll take ownership of day-to-day IT operations across multiple sites, supporting staff, lecturers, and students while ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and high-performing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily IT operations, troubleshooting, and system continuity

  • Onboarding staff and providing IT training

  • Installing and maintaining devices, software, networks, and peripherals

  • Monitoring servers, backups, Wi-Fi, and connectivity

  • Maintaining documentation and internal IT processes

  • Supporting classroom AV systems and teaching environments

  • Assisting with wider infrastructure projects

  • Providing occasional support for events and students

What we're looking for
  • Strong communicator with technical and non-technical users

  • Passionate about IT with a proactive learning mindset

  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively

  • Team-oriented and adaptable in a multicultural environment

Technical requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in IT support or infrastructure

  • Strong Windows 10/11 and Windows Server experience

  • Solid Active Directory knowledge

  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, Wi-Fi)

  • Comfortable supporting hardware, printers, and general IT infrastructure

Nice to have
  • M365, Azure AD sync, Entra ID, Intune

  • Virtualisation (VMWare/XenServer)

  • Linux, macOS, iOS, Android environments

  • CCTV, telephony, access control, or AV systems

  • Additional languages
