Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will lead the group reporting function, driving excellence across consolidation, technical accounting, and financial governance for multiple entities. What you'll do:

  • Oversee the group's multi-currency consolidation process and elevate the professionalism of all reporting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage the external audit process by coordinating with auditors and internal teams to guarantee smooth delivery and adherence to strict deadlines.

  • Lead the preparation and review of consolidated IFRS financial statements as well as detailed notes for both group and subsidiary entities.

  • Review subsidiary financial statements prepared under local GAAPs by the reporting team to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.

  • Maintain the group's chart of accounts, oversee consolidation adjustments, and refine reporting frameworks for optimal efficiency.

  • Act as the subject matter expert on IFRS within the group, providing guidance on complex transactions such as acquisitions and entity rationalisation.

  • Prepare technical accounting papers that address intricate issues and support decision-making at senior levels.

  • Strengthen internal control environments by implementing robust processes that ensure compliance and audit readiness throughout the organisation.

  • Mentor a team of qualified accountants, fostering a high-performing culture through coaching, development, and collaborative leadership.

  • Work closely with shared service finance teams in international locations such as Katowice, Poland, ensuring seamless cross-border operations.

  • Collaborate extensively with Tax and Legal teams on matters including entity rationalisation to optimise organisational structure.

  • Drive process efficiency and automation across all aspects of the reporting cycle while maintaining data accuracy and meeting close timelines.

  • Bring rigour to month-end processes by leading balance sheet reviews and ensuring discipline in financial operations.

  • Champion ERP and finance system transformation initiatives that enhance reporting capabilities.

What you bring:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA) with a background in Big 4 or large practice environments is essential for this position.

  • Extensive post-qualification experience in group reporting with proven ability to manage month-end close processes is required.

  • Demonstrated exposure to multi-currency consolidations within large organisations is highly desirable for success in this role.

  • Deep knowledge of IFRS standards alongside up-to-date understanding of various financial reporting frameworks is crucial.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are needed to foster cross-functional collaboration and effective business partnering across departments.
