BPA - Digital & Technology Solutions Apprentice (Alderley Park, near Macclesfield)

Role
- Royal London is a digital-first insurance company and increasingly deploying technology solutions throughout all areas of its business and operations.
The BPA (Bulk Purchase Annuity) team has been recently established and has grown to over 50 colleagues with the purpose of providing insurance solutions for defined benefit pension schemes. We are now entering the next phase of growth and focusing on operational efficiency and technology solutions, hence the opportunity to join the team at the apprentice level and develop your skills within a commercially-focused business environment.
Over the course of the apprenticeship, we will provide support, guidance and training to expose you to the following areas to develop your skills and experience within:
Development and management of the model codebase. - Generative AI solution development and deployment.
- Data architecture and pipeline development.
- Process automation using various software/technologies.
- Management Information dashboard development (In Microsoft Power BI).
Training
Our Level 6 standard is integrated with a degree in Digital & Technology solutions which is validated by the Open University. Each cohort spends their first 5 weeks at college taking part in our Launchpad training.
This training not only covers modules for the degree programme but also ensures to prepare you for the workplace. Following the Launchpad training you will return to your employer for 7-8 weeks returning to Ada for one-week blocks on a rotation basis.
You’ll get hands-on experience of designing, implementing and maintaining a range of business-critical technology solutions. With time you’ll begin to understand the interaction between people, systems and business performance.
As you learn and support the day-to-day operations, we’ll look to you to show off your creative flair, bringing fresh perspective to existing processes and methodologies.
