Senior Bid Manager
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly driven Bid Manager to take full ownership of our tendering and proposal process within the ICT space, covering IS MSP contracts, Cyber Security, VoIP, Connectivity, and Mobile solutions .
With 17 years of successful trading and ISO accreditations (9001, 14001, 27001), we are committed to increasing bid volume and driving consistent wins. This role is critical to identifying opportunities, shaping compelling bids, and ensuring we deliver best-in-class submissions that stand out in competitive markets.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of winning bids in this sector, strong commercial insight, and the ability to lead the entire bid process with minimal reliance on other departments. Technical expertise is advantageous, but we can allocate specialist resources to support technical content where required.
What You Will Do
Bid & Tender Leadership
- Take full ownership of all bids and tenders from identification through to submission.
- Develop clear bid strategies and win themes aligned with client objectives and brand positioning.
- Lead and project manage major bid opportunities, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders for input but maintain responsibility for shaping and delivering the final bid.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements while presenting creative, differentiated solutions.
- Maintain an up-to-date bid library and insight cache to streamline future submissions.
Commercial Insight and Pricing
- Build robust pricing foundations that minimise the need for extensive external review.
- Apply strong commercial judgement to ensure competitive yet profitable proposals.
- Provide clear rationale for pricing decisions and maintain margin discipline.
Collaboration and Strategic Support
- Work closely with Sales, Technical, and Operations teams to gather input where necessary.
- Support the Commercial Director on bespoke strategic projects as required.
- Act as the central point of contact for all bid-related queries and communications.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Analyse bid outcomes and feedback to refine future submissions.
- Implement best practices to improve win rates and bid quality.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategy.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven success in winning bids within ICT or Managed Services .
- Strong understanding of IS MSP contracts, Cyber Security, VoIP, Connectivity, and Mobile solutions .
- Ability to own the entire bid process with minimal reliance on other departments.
- Strong commercial insight with confidence in pricing and margin defense.
- Familiarity with bid portals, tendering software, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Technical expertise is a benefit, but not essential (support available for technical content).
- Highly organised, proactive, and results driven.
