Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Folkestone Work Type: On-site
Role OverviewWe are looking for a Deskside Support Engineer to provide hands-on, on-site IT support within a professional enterprise environment. This is a customer-facing role focused on end-user support, hardware troubleshooting, and desktop services.
The role starts as a short-term contract with a strong possibility of permanent employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide deskside / walk-up support to end users

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues

Support laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and peripherals

Windows 10 support and basic Active Directory tasks

Install, configure, and replace IT equipment

Log, update, and resolve tickets using an ITSM tool

Escalate issues when required and follow through to resolution

Deliver a high level of customer service on-site

Experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, or Deskside Support roles

Strong Windows desktop support experience

Hardware break/fix and device provisioning experience

Basic Active Directory exposure (password resets, unlocks, etc.)

Confident working directly with users in a face-to-face environment

Ability to work independently on-site

ITIL awareness

Experience supporting printers or mobile devices

Previous enterprise or corporate IT environment exposure
