Interaction Designer, SC Cleared

As an Interaction Designer, you'll work at the heart of an agile, multidisciplinary team to design user-centred digital services that are simple, accessible, and effective. You'll turn complex government processes into intuitive, seamless user journeys to make services that work for everyone.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with user researchers, content designers, and service designers to translate insights into design solutions.

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and design patterns that meet GOV.UK Design System standards.

• Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and evidence-based design decisions.

• Iterate designs based on user feedback, analytics, and testing results.

• Contribute to design critiques, share best practices, and help shape design standards across the organisation.

Key Requirements and Skills

• Active Security Check (SC) clearance (essential)

• Proven experience designing digital products or services within large or complex organisations (government experience desirable)

• Strong knowledge of user-centred design, accessibility, and interaction patterns

• Ability to prototype and communicate design ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

• Familiarity with agile delivery environments and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
