Business Analyst
Job Summary:
Business Analyst with a broad knowledge of financial derivatives (both exchange traded and OTC) married to experience in the specification of significant IT solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication skills. The candidate will act as the SME for the definition of derivative products and be responsible for identifying, analysing, and documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows. They will work closely with stakeholders, including management, clients, and technical teams, to identify areas of improvement and to develop and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- The documentation of project terms of reference.
- The design and documentation of process workflows.
- The collection, collation and documentation of business requirements.
- The design of solutions that address the requirements.
- The generation of user stories based on the requirements.
- Collaboration and continuous communication with the relevant technical teams.
- The verification of system functionality and system changes.
Product Knowledge:
- Knowledge of derivative products including product life cycle.
- Knowledge of financial markets and transaction processing.
- The point of escalation for level 2 Client product queries.
- Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support decision-making.
Data Analysis:
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data using product and financial market knowledge to provide actionable recommendations.
- Utilise data analytics tools and techniques to uncover trends and insights.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Diary/schedule management.
- Produce presentation materials and present to stakeholders.
- Create meeting minutes for distribution to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain product related documentation.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications/experience:
- Bachelor's degree level education.
- Experience working as a Business Analyst, including requirements gathering and related documentation.
- Demonstrable understanding of financial derivative products - including structure, market behaviour and regulations across different asset classes.
- Proven experience of presenting to stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working closely with development teams.
