Who is the client? Our client is a fast-growing technology and connectivity services provider operating across infrastructure, construction, and engineering environments. They deliver critical networking and satellite solutions to enterprise customers, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer experience.
What will you be doing? In this Installation Engineer role, you'll work as part of the Operations team delivering on-site satellite and networking installations. You'll be responsible for mounting and aligning satellite terminals, installing routers, access points, and structured cabling, conducting site surveys and RF planning, and testing connectivity in collaboration with the Network Operations team. You'll also complete site compliance and health & safety documentation, carry out customer handovers, and provide basic user training following installation.
What will you need?* At least 2 years' hands-on experience in satellite broadband, telecoms, or field-based installation roles* Strong experience with antenna installation and structured cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A / fibre)* Valid CSCS card* Experience installing routers and access points* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel* Comfortable working outdoors and at height* Strong communication skills when dealing with customers on-site
What would be desirable?* Experience with satellite technologies such as Starlink* Exposure to enterprise networking equipment (e.g. Cisco, Meraki)* Site survey and RF planning experience* Health & safety or working-at-height certifications* Background working on construction or remote sites
