£26.45 PAYE + Holiday Pay & Pension Contribution or £35.90 Umbrella
This is a great opportunity to join a global name in the Engineering and Manufacturing sector, based at one of their major UK sites in Peterborough. The company supports industries ranging from Transportation to Energy and is well known for its engineering expertise, long-standing heritage, and forward-looking approach to digital and technology.
With several digital initiatives underway, their international eCommerce platform is growing and changing fast, making this an ideal time for an SEO specialist who wants to take ownership, shape direction, and make a visible impact.
The Role
As the SEO Specialist, you will play an important part in improving the visibility and performance of an international eCommerce platform. You will help steer SEO strategy, strengthen technical site health, and prepare content for both search engines and the next generation of AI-driven search. Working closely with a supportive digital team in the UK and overseas, you will be influencing user journeys and contributing directly to the platform’s global organic growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the SEO roadmap across international eCommerce sites
- Carry out technical SEO audits and resolve crawl, indexation, canonicalisation and schema issues
- Improve PLP and PDP templates to support stronger rankings and richer search results
- Use GA4 and Search Console insights to guide SEO decisions
- Support content improvements and link-building activity alongside Marketing
- Share clear monthly SEO performance updates with the wider team
- Create content that works well for AI-driven search (GEO)
- Keep track of emerging generative search trends and adapt the approach as needed
What You Will Bring
- 3–5 years’ hands-on SEO experience, ideally in eCommerce or with large product catalogues
- An interest in GEO and optimising content for new search experiences
- Strong working knowledge of GA4 and Google Search Console
- Confidence working with structured data, canonicalisation, robots, rules and internal linking
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams
- A proactive, organised approach and the confidence to work independently when needed
- Experience with BrightEdge, Excel/Sheets or similar tools is helpful
- No formal degree required
