Overview of the ICT Delivery Officer role
Sellick Partnership is currently partnered with Cardiff City Council to recruit an ICT Delivery Officer to join their expanding Infrastructure team on a permanent, full time basis. Although the council offices are based in Cardiff, the council are happy to discuss and negotiate flexible, hybrid working arrangements and encourage a healthy work-life balance.
With a focus on the ongoing schools expansion project across Cardiff, this opportunity provides and exciting series of projects that will allow you to expand on current knowledge and skills.
Key responsibilities of the ICT Delivery Officer
- Manage supplier relationships, contracts and procurement in line with statutory and corporate requirements
- Work with senior managers, ICT teams and education services to plan, deliver and develop ICT services for schools
- Support project planning and delivery by advising on requirements, coordinating resources and improving service outcomes
- Oversee operational ICT services, including Service Desk incidents, SLAs, performance monitoring and reporting
- Monitor customer and supplier satisfaction, addressing issues and driving service and quality improvements
- Develop and maintain ICT service plans, policies, processes and standards, promoting compliance and health and safety
Experience required for the ICT Delivery Officer
- Practical understanding of user experience and requirements analysis, with the ability to identify user objectives and define appropriate solutions and resources
- Experience in creating, implementing and monitoring service level agreements with suppliers and contractors, with a focus on continuous service improvement
- Proven track record in project management, ensuring effective planning and successful delivery of solutions
- Experience developing and presenting business proposals, including business cases and statements of requirements, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrable experience managing customer and supplier relationships, resolving dissatisfaction and maintaining positive engagement
- Experience of ICT service delivery within schools or similar educational environments
