Analyst - Valuations Modelling
*Location:* Surrey (Hybrid/Office-based 3 dyas per week)

A well-established professional services organisation is seeking an Analyst to join a specialist analytical team at its head office. This is an excellent opportunity for a numerically strong graduate or early-career analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of data, modelling and process improvement.

The Role
Reporting to a senior manager, the successful candidate will support the development, maintenance and enhancement of valuation models and databases. The role has a strong focus on automation, data quality, and analytical rigour, helping to streamline complex and repetitive processes used across the wider business.

Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining and enhancing valuation and trends databases
* Supporting the development and improvement of valuation models (Excel and Python-based)
* Automating data collection, cleansing and standardisation processes
* Investigating and resolving model or data issues raised internally and externally
* Supporting regular valuation review cycles and analytical outputs
* Developing tools for data manipulation and visualisation

Candidate Profile
This role would suit a highly analytical individual with strong technical aptitude and an interest in building scalable, efficient systems.

Essential requirements:*
* Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerical or analytical discipline (eg finance, engineering, mathematics, data analysis, operational research or similar)
* At least 1 year of commercial experience using a coding language
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including advanced formulas; VBA desirable)
* Experience with Python or another Back End programming language
* Familiarity with databases and SQL
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Desirable experience:*
* Exposure to valuation, pricing or financial modelling environments
* Experience working with APIs or web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
* Understanding of asset-based or finance-led analytical frameworks
