Head of Business Intelligence

Head of Business Intelligence

Location: Remote (UK Based)

Reports to: Global CFO

Function: Business Intelligence / Data / Analytics

About the Role:

As the Head of Business Intelligence, you will lead a pivotal transformation of our global BI function during a major reset of our data strategy and client-facing reporting capabilities. Managing a team of ~25 across data engineering, visualisation, and reporting, you will turn an underutilised Domo-led reporting estate into a trusted, value-driving service for our global clients.

This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on leadership. You will define and execute a clear BI strategy, reset ways of working across BI, Technology, Operations, and Finance, and ensure our data platforms, including Digital Interact (DI) and Domo, provide the insights clients rely on to run their businesses. Working with senior leaders across regions, you will lead sprint teams to fix data flows, improve data capture at source, simplify dashboards, and drive adoption across key accounts.

This is a high-impact opportunity to own a complete BI turnaround in a complex, fast-paced global environment whilst strengthening governance, clarifying ownership, and building a commercially minded, client-focused BI organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Own the global Business Intelligence function, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of client-facing and internal dashboards built on Domo and the DI platform.

· Design and implement a clear data and BI strategy aligned to client, operational, and financial needs, resetting roles, responsibilities, and ways of working.

· Oversee BI processes, data pipelines and data governance, acting as steward of data quality from DI into Domo and championing best practice in reporting and visualisation.

· Lead, mentor, and develop a global BI team of ~25, fostering a high-performance, commercially oriented, client-facing culture.

· Work closely with Account Directors and Operations to translate client requirements into actionable data and reporting outputs that directly support decision-making.

· Own the BI roadmap, including prioritisation of client implementations, sprint team resourcing, and systematic migration of client reporting into Domo.

· Partner with operations and account teams to improve data capture in DI, resolve data quality issues at source, and simplify or consolidate dashboards for greater adoption.

· Develop and maintain data dictionaries, KPI definitions, glossaries, and usage guidelines to ensure consistent understanding across clients and regions.

· Drive continuous improvement of the DI to Domo to Insights data flow, optimising Domo capabilities (including emerging AI features).

· Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, challenging existing approaches and promoting a client-first, commercially driven data culture.

Skills & Experience:

· Significant experience leading BI, data, or analytics functions in complex, global, client-facing environments.

· Strong track record designing and executing BI strategy, including data stewardship, governance, and scalable reporting frameworks.

· Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams (data engineering, visualisation, reporting) across regions, including offshore or distributed teams.

· Demonstrated success delivering client-facing dashboards and analytics products that drive adoption and deliver measurable business value.

· Hands-on expertise with modern BI / data visualisation tools (ideally Domo; or Power BI, Tableau) and the ability to challenge and improve how these tools are used.

· Deep understanding of end-to-end data flows from data capture at source through to dashboard delivery with experience fixing data quality and pipeline issues.

· Strong organisational skills, capable of prioritising effectively, structuring sprint-style delivery, and driving consistent ways of working across global accounts.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to build trust with account directors, operations, finance, technology, and senior executives.

· Commercially focused, with the ability to translate client needs into clear data requirements and challenge internal teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

· Pragmatic, hands-on leadership style with the resilience to operate in fast-paced, evolving global environments.

· Flexibility to collaborate across time zones (APAC, India, Europe, US) and manage distributed delivery teams.
