Managing Director - Professional Services

We are supporting a global Information Services & Advisory business as it embarks on an exciting and major transformation of its product and platform strategy. The organisation operates at the intersection of data, intelligence and technology, providing market-leading solutions to clients across a range of industries.

This is a pivotal new leadership position, responsible for designing, packaging and commercialising professional services offerings, and connecting them to the group’s wider data and technology platform.

The successful candidate will be a commercially minded General Manager/Managing Director with a strong grounding in Product Strategy - someone who developed a great career in top-tier consulting, moved into a data/SaaS or insights business, owns revenue and customer outcomes, and thrives in an unstructured, high-change environment.

The Opportunity - Managing Director - Professional Services

You will join a leadership team focused on transforming how market and sales intelligence is built, delivered and monetised. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this is a highly visible role with responsibility for commercial performance and influence across data, technology and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product strategy and roadmap for Professional Services
  • Drive commercial results through a client-centric approach to innovation and delivery
  • Translate strategic goals into tangible products and solutions that meet evolving client needs
  • Partner with technology, sales, research and M&A teams to align priorities and integrate new offerings
  • Establish effective voice-of-customer and market feedback processes
  • Build and empower an international team of managers and specialists

About You:

  • Strong foundation in strategy, consulting or corporate development combined with product or commercial leadership experience within industry
  • Proven experience managing or influencing a P&L within a consultancy or customer-focused environment
  • Demonstrable ability to own commercial outcomes, with P&L ownership and accountability
  • Expertise in setting commercial strategy, pricing models and go-to-market priorities.
  • M&A experience having worked through acquisitions, either integrating acquired products or positioning new ones within a portfolio.
  • Skilled communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and simplify complex ideas
  • Comfortable working in complex, fast-changing environments and creating clarity where it is needed most
  • Practical, collaborative and motivated by delivering visible impact
  • Proven people leader of international teams
  • Deep understanding of client perspective and behaviour and with an ability to translate client problems into scalable product and solution design
