Cabling Supervisor
Location: London (with occasional UK travel)
A well-established, City of London–based technology services provider is seeking an experienced Cabling Supervisor to join its growing projects team. The business delivers structured cabling solutions across commercial environments and is ISO accredited, with a strong focus on quality, health, and safety.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for managing a team of engineers delivering structured cabling, network infrastructure, and smart building technologies across London and occasionally the wider UK.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Technical Delivery
- Ensure all cabling installations are completed to a high-quality standard and tested in compliance with ISO 11801.
- Act as on-site support for deployment and network infrastructure projects.
- Produce accurate test results, as-built documentation, and project reports.
- Maintain awareness of related disciplines including Access Control, BMS, CCTV, and containment installations.
Project & Client Support
- Support Project Managers with planning, progress updates, and budget control.
- Coordinate labour with senior operations to meet project deadlines.
- Manage ordering and delivery of materials, ensuring sufficient stock and effective logistics.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide a professional, responsive service.
- Resolve client issues effectively and represent the business positively at all times.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and distributed to relevant parties.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Full clean UK driving license.
- SSSTS (minimum) – SMSTS preferred.
- ECS or CSCS card.
- First Aid at Work (Level 3).
- CNCI, City & Guilds, or equivalent structured cabling qualifications.
- Experience supervising teams on structured cabling or network infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of IP networking and structured cabling environments.
- Ability to read and annotate PDF drawings.
- Competent with MS Office and project documentation tools.
