Founding Engineer
Founding Full-Stack Engineer - London (Hybrid, 4 days in office)
Join a mission-driven startup that's helping charities secure the funding they desperately need.
Backed by top-tier VCs with millions in recent funding, they're building AI tools that help non-profits cut through bureaucracy and actually get grants. Real charities are already using their platform to unlock funding that changes lives.
The opportunity:
- Join as a founding engineer at a VC-backed company where your work directly helps charitable organizations
- Build production LLM applications that turn grant applications from weeks of work into hours
- Own features end-to-end, from design through deployment
- Work hybrid (4 days in office) with a founding team that moves fast and cares deeply about impact
They're looking for:
- 1+ years building full-stack applications with TypeScript
- Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
- Ability to move fast and ship quality code in a 0 to 1 environment
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering from Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, or equivalent top-tier institution
- Genuinely excited about using your skills to help organizations doing good in the world
What sets great candidates apart: You've actually built something with LLMs beyond tutorials. You understand the nuances of prompting, error handling, and building reliable systems on top of non-deterministic APIs. And you want your technical work to matter beyond just the product.
What's on offer:
- Up to £110k base salary
- Meaningful equity in a well-funded, fast-growing company
- Work on technology that helps charities secure funding for critical causes
- Hybrid flexibility (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
- Excellent benefits package
- Be in the room where product and technical decisions are made
Why this role matters: Most engineers want their work to have impact. Here, you'll build features on Tuesday that help a charity secure funding by Friday. The feedback loop between your code and real-world good is immediate.
How to apply: Send me:
- Your CV
- A link to something you've built with LLMs (side project, GitHub, production feature) or tell me about your most interesting LLM integration
Moving quickly with strong candidates. Let's talk this week.
