TechNET is partnering with a long-established global manufacturer undergoing a period of significant transformation. As the organisation continues to scale internationally, we are supporting them in the appointment of a Global Head of IT Security & Governance to lead their security modernisation agenda.
This is a key permanent hire, responsible for shaping and delivering a security strategy that strengthens resilience across a complex environment spanning IT, OT, cloud, manufacturing sites, and global operations. The position requires a leader who can balance strategic governance with hands-on technical delivery to drive meaningful change.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end security function, working closely with senior technology and operational teams to:
- Modernise and uplift legacy systems and security tooling
- Strengthen global governance aligned to ISO 27001, NIST, CIS and industry best practice
- Improve visibility, monitoring, and incident response capability
- Lead enhancements across multi-cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Drive OT/ICS security improvement across manufacturing environments
- Establish and refine security operating models, policies, and KPIs
- Provide clear, actionable reporting to senior leadership and the board
- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing security and governance team
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a security leader with experience gained in manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or multi-site global environments. Key attributes include:
- Experience as a Head of Security, CISO or senior Security Operations leader
- Strong technical grounding across SOC, SIEM, cloud, identity and endpoint protection
- Demonstrable success improving resilience in complex or legacy estates
- Proven delivery of OT/ICS security or IT/OT convergence initiatives
- Confident working with senior stakeholders across operations, engineering and technology
- Ability to set direction while remaining hands-on where needed
