OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced BigID Architect to join a large-scale data, AI, and information protection programme. This role requires deep technical expertise in BigID, strong architectural capability, and the seniority to operate in a complex, enterprise environment undergoing organisational and operating model change.
The successful contractor will play a key role in designing, implementing, and scaling BigID across the organisation, working closely with security, data, and engineering stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the BigID technical and solution architect, owning end-to-end design and implementation
- Define and deliver BigID architecture, including data discovery, classification, privacy, and governance use cases
- Integrate BigID with enterprise data platforms, cloud services, and security tooling
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery teams and stakeholders
- Support information protection, data security, and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Engage with senior stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to operating model decisions across data, AI, cyber security, and information protection domains
- Troubleshoot complex BigID implementations and performance issues
- Produce high-quality architecture documentation and technical standards
- Proven experience as a BigID Architect or Senior BigID Engineer in large enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on expertise with BigID platform architecture, deployment, and configuration
- Experience delivering data discovery, classification, privacy, and governance solutions
- Solid understanding of data security, information protection, and regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR)
- Experience integrating BigID with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise data sources
- Ability to work autonomously and operate at a senior / consulting level
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Background in data, AI, or cyber security programmes
- Experience working in matrixed or transitioning organisations
- Previous experience in highly regulated industries
