Senior Management Accountant (Previous Relevant Experince is Required)

Reporting into the Finance Business Partner, the Senior Management Accountant will be working on an exciting joint venture within our Rail division. You will own the financial control and reporting of the HS2 JV and ensure this contract is reported and forecast accurately in the JV management accounts each month and to support the Rail finance business partner with any ad hoc requirements.
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to be in the Warwick HQ 2-3 days per week.
The role is offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract basis.
What you’ll do:
- Act as the finance representative on the HS2 JV and attend relevant project and JV meetings as appropriate, producing reports as necessary
- Produce, prepare and present monthly Contract Review for HS2 JV
- Ensure revenue recognition is accurate and ensure costs are correctly forecast, charged and accrued and ensure working capital is fully accounted for and forecast.
- Schedule and organise HS2 JV audits and client soft reviews in accordance with contractual obligations
- Support and approve applications for payment, change requests and other HS2 JV documentation as the finance representative on the HS2 JV
- Monitor the disallowed costs register and understand impact on the HS2 JV accounts and profit share
- Be the single point of contact for HS2 JV finance queries (internal and external)
- Ensure adherence to the HS2 JV accounts administration plan and the JV operating protocol
Who you are:
You’re an experienced and driven Senior Management Accountant who thrives in fast-paced, high-profile projects. You will have experience working within the Technology (or similar) industry, within a medium – large size organisation.
Key Requirements:
- A CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Confidence working in project-based or joint venture environments.
- Advanced Excel and ERP system skills, with a keen eye for detail
- A collaborative approach, partnering with finance and operational teams to keep projects on track.
