Lead Product Analyst
Department: Data & Analytics Location: London Description Location: hybrid in-office 2 days per week. Mainly in our London (Tower Bridge) office, with 1-2 Wednesdays per month in our office in Fleet (Hampshire). Tempcover is at the forefront of the fast-growing world of short term insurance. Our mission is to make car insurance flexible, quick, and easy for drivers. We’ve sold millions of policies that have helped drivers get where they need to go, but we’re not finished there. The Role As a Lead Analyst within a product team your input will be crucial in driving business impact and decision-making by bridging the gap between data and insight. We are looking for a hands-on analytical thought leader who will help the team make great data-driven decisions. You will identify opportunities for deep analytics on customer behaviour and site performance, working with the multi-disciplinary members of the team, as well as other key people and stakeholders from across the business, as well as supporting other members of the team. We Answer Questions Like
- Why are customers purchasing temporary insurance? And how can we identify and better serve high-value returning customers through improved segmentation, targeting, and tailored experiences?
- Where are the key drop-off points in our funnel across platforms, and what are the most effective ways to improve conversion?
- How do different pricing or product models perform across segments, and what drives long-term value?
- What patterns exist in returning customer behaviour across platforms, and how do incentives influence their likelihood to return?
- How do returning customers behave across different platforms (web vs app), how frequently do they return, and what impact do incentives (e.g. reminders, discounts, referral rewards) have on their likelihood to come back?
- Establishing the foundation for product analytics at Tempcover, including event tracking, platform insights, and user behaviour analysis
- Investigating customer segments and behaviours to support pricing, targeting, fraud-detection and product development decisions
- Modelling and tracking customer return behaviour across products and platforms
- Analysing and improving digital marketing and consumer journeys across our businesses
- Designing and evaluating A/B tests to enhance customer experience and conversion
- Supporting the design and analysis of new growth initiatives, such as referral schemes or loyalty incentives
- Exploring data for new insights and recommendations across customer behaviour, product usage, and performance trends
- Collaborating with teams across the business to introduce more data-driven decision making
- Monitoring key business metrics and communicating insights to a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in digital/web analytics, AB testing and optimising digital products.
- Track record of driving business decisions and impact.
- Strong technical skill set with analytical tools such as SQL, Python/R for analytics, PowerBI and/or Tableau for visualisation, Amplitude, Fullstory or Google Analytics as product optimisation tools.
- Comfortable at managing multiple projects and stakeholders with competing deadlines and priorities, ensuring the highest value work gets prioritised and accomplished in a proactive and timely manner and ability to communicate complex results in a clear, accessible way
