What You’ll Do
- Own and enhance the global end-user computing (EUC) environment, ensuring a seamless and reliable user experience.
- Act as an escalation point for complex EUC issues, driving root-cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Engineer and deploy improvements across the Windows, Office, and device-management ecosystem.
- Apply an automation-first mindset, using PowerShell or your preferred scripting language to eliminate toil and improve efficiency.
- Use IaC tools to standardise and automate deployments across a multi-site environment.
- Lead the shift from reactive to proactive platform support by implementing smarter tooling, monitoring and analytics.
- Manage relationships with vendors and partners to improve service quality and platform performance.
- Produce clear technical documentation and share knowledge across the wider engineering team.
- Mentor junior team members when required and collaborate with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
- Strong expertise across Windows Server and core services (AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services).
- Experience leading infrastructure or EUC-focused projects, migrations, or large-scale deployments.
- Hands-on exposure to virtualisation technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell/Python) and working knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Solid understanding of security practices in enterprise Windows environments.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities within complex networks and multi-site environments.
- Experience supporting Windows OS, enterprise applications, Office productivity tools and device lifecycle management.
- Additional beneficial experience may include: log aggregation tools, Exchange administration, VDI technologies, Linux exposure, containerisation, or deployment tooling.
