Job Ad: Azure Cloud Engineer (Legal Experience Required) – Outside IR35 – £500/day

Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite at a range of UK offices (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds)

Contract: 6 months initial (likely extension)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with proven legal sector experience to join a major transformation programme for a leading law firm. This is a hands‐on engineering role focused on delivering secure, scalable Azure platforms during complex migrations from legacy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure cloud environments for Intune rollouts, Windows 11 upgrades, EUC transformations, and M365 migrations.
• Deliver secure Exchange Online migrations and integrate with legal‐sector applications.
• Build Infrastructure‐as‐Code templates (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) for automated deployments.
• Configure Azure AD, identity governance, and zero‐trust controls.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and legal IT stakeholders to ensure compliance with GDPR and sector governance.
• Troubleshoot and optimise hybrid/cloud performance.

Essential Skills:

• Strong Azure engineering background (VMs, networking, storage, security).
• Proven delivery of cloud migration and legacy system transitions.
• Expertise in Intune, M365, Exchange Online, EUC (Citrix/VDI).
• IaC (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and automation scripting (PowerShell).
• Legal experience is required.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials).
