Head of Data - London (Hybrid) - Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Synapse - Up to £100k + bonus
The Opportunity
I am partnering with a forward-thinking organisation undergoing a major data and analytics transformation. This is a senior-level opportunity for a Head of Data to shape strategy, architecture, and teams while remaining close to hands-on delivery.
Based in London with a hybrid working model, you'll lead the evolution of a modern, scalable data platform built on Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Azure Synapse. This role offers real ownership, executive visibility, and the chance to drive meaningful change across the business.
What you'll be responsible for
- Owning and delivering the data strategy, roadmap, and operating model
- Leading the design and evolution of a modern data platform using Fabric, Databricks, and Synapse
- Building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing data engineering and analytics teams
- Defining standards for data architecture, governance, security, and quality
- Partnering with senior stakeholders and the executive team to turn strategy into data-driven outcomes

Looking for
- Proven experience as a Head of Data, Data Director, or Senior Data Engineering Leader
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Azure Synapse
- Deep knowledge of modern data architectures (lakehouse, ELT, analytics)
- Track record of building and leading data teams
- Confident stakeholder management, including senior and executive leadership
- Strong Azure cloud, governance, and security background
